Empowering Black Women in

Black Women in Real Estate (BWRE) has recently unveiled a refreshed brand identity in an effort to empower black women within the real estate industry. The organization, which was founded in 2019, aims to provide a platform for black women working in all sectors of the real estate industry to connect, collaborate, and support one another. The new brand identity includes a modernized logo and color palette that reflects the organization’s values of diversity, inclusion, and empowerment.

BWRE’s founder, Cheryll Case, explained that the organization wanted to create a brand identity that would resonate with its members and communicate its mission of empowering black women in real estate. The new logo features a stylized depiction of a black woman with the words “Black Women in Real Estate” underneath, while the color palette includes shades of purple, teal, and gold. Case stated that these colors were chosen to symbolize creativity, growth, and success, which are all aspects that BWRE aims to cultivate within its community.

In addition to the refreshed brand identity, BWRE also announced the launch of a new website that will serve as a hub for its members to connect, access resources, and participate in events. The website will feature a member directory, job board, and blog, as well as information on upcoming events and initiatives. Case emphasized the importance of providing a platform where black women in real estate can network, share insights, and support each other in their professional endeavors.

The organization’s rebranding efforts come at a time when diversity and inclusion within the real estate industry are gaining increased attention. Studies have shown that black women are significantly underrepresented in leadership positions within the industry, with only 1% of senior executive positions held by black women. BWRE aims to address this lack of representation by providing a supportive community for black women to advance their careers and achieve their professional goals.

In addition to networking and professional development opportunities, BWRE also focuses on advocacy and mentorship as key pillars of its mission. The organization partners with industry leaders and organizations to advocate for greater diversity and inclusion within the real estate industry, while also providing mentorship programs and resources to support black women in their career advancement. Case stressed the importance of mentorship in helping black women navigate the challenges and obstacles they may face in their professional lives.

As BWRE continues to grow and expand its reach, the organization remains committed to its core values of empowerment, community, and advocacy. The refreshed brand identity and new website are just the beginning of BWRE’s efforts to provide a platform for black women in real estate to thrive and succeed. With a strong focus on collaboration, support, and empowerment, BWRE is paving the way for greater diversity and inclusion within the real estate industry, one black woman at a time.
